The browser requests the front-facing camera via WebRTC. A face-tracking model detects 468 facial landmarks per frame and derives head rotation (pitch, yaw, roll) and inter-eye distance. Those coordinates drive where the product asset sits, how large it renders, and how it tilts as the shopper moves — all recalculated roughly 30 times per second so the overlay tracks smoothly instead of lagging behind.

Everything above runs client-side, in the shopper's own browser. No video frame is uploaded to a server for processing, which keeps latency low and sidesteps the privacy concerns that come with cloud-based face analysis.
